HALIFAX MODEL UNITED NATIONS (HFXMUN 2007)
These are the
three committees this year. Find out what your country's FOREIGN POLICY is on
the topics below. Learn about your country's beliefs on many issues.
For example, what does your country believe about 1) equal rights for
women, 2) protection of children, 3) environmental pollution, 4) capital
punishment, 5) the role America is playing in the world today, 6) the security
barrier built by Israel? Read any pertinent
information you can on each of your topics. Remember to check the homepage
of the United Nations for lots of good information. This can require some
real focus as the site appear like an octopus, arms of information appearing
everywhere. Also, remember to explore how
to write A
RESOLUTION. THERE ARE SAMPLE RESOLUTIONS BEING WRITTEN TO HELP
YOU. THEY WILL ARRIVE IN MARCH AND WILL DEAL WITH THE THREE TOPICS BELOW.
