ASSIGNMENTS AND TESTS

RUBRIC FOR PRESENTATIONS    Print this out and use it for your of SELF-EVALUATION.  Then hand that in to me.  The two marks, yours and mine, will be blended.

6.  GROCERY DATA SHEET.  The first three columns have been filled out by me.  Your task is to fill out columns 4 and 5 and then submit them to me before Christmas.    On your exam, you will see a master data sheet made from a compilation of all the data sheets from your fellow classmates.  You will be asked to interpret the data by showing five patterns that appear in the master data sheet.  You will also be expected to offer a reason for each of the five patterns you will identify.  Go to the GROCERY DATA SHEET.    Forget when you are to go?  Go to the  STORE VISITATION CALENDAR

7.  Due November 15.  Paper on RITUALS found in a culture unlike your own.  These rituals are to revolve around birth, puberty (coming of age), marriage, and death.  If the group you are studying is missing rituals you need, you may use rituals used for other  events in that culture.  In your introduction, tell the reader about your group, where they are located, how many are in the group, how they organize themselves and other interesting facts.  Also let the readers know that they are about to discover interesting information on your group's rituals.  After you have described the rituals, write a paragraph concluding your paper.    Always include a work cited page with your research papers!!  Use at least one book in you work cited page.  Here you can find the names of some cultures.  Here you can find a sample essay on Vietnam.  Good luck, learn lots!   RUBRIC
