Last week we had personal trainer, Matt MacDonald come into to our classroom to talk to all grade 6’s of B.S.S. His three messages he wanted to share with us were to eat healthy, be active and share his message with everyone! You may say he is bananas and that is true. He eats an average of 30-40 bananas a day. He also talked about eating whole foods, looking at the nutrition facts and ingredients of packaged foods. Some things to look out for on packages are sodium, cholesterol, sugar, and fat. He also said if it’s 5% sodium or lower its better to eat than 6% and up. Remember all packaged has to be preserved some how with sugar or salt so always read the nutrition facts.
