Remembrance Day
Poems
The
Day I Left Home
On the day that I left
home,
It was not what I thought when I wanted
to roam
Every day it got colder and
colder
Yet every day I got bolder and
bolder
Until the day that I hit ground
And there I lay, so very proud.

These people are no different then us
We do this fighting with no fuss
Why can’t we just leave them alone?
All they have is a wooden box for a home
They have to ration their food
So they are not always in a good
mood
They would be people like us
if…
We could leave them alone with no
fuss

Drifting
In this red sea I am
drifting so far away,
Out of this world away
from my friends,
As I say goodbye for the
last time to my sister
And
to my mom, I have fought for my country
But now it is my time, I am drifting
away, away..

Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day the one day
of the year when we remember all the people that died that we love dear.
I can’t believe all that
we lost all for a price that was too much of a cost.
Most of the deaths were
made by the gun I wish I could take back all the damage that was done but I
can’t and that is what makes the world so sad and what makes me so mad…. So mad.

On the sea and on the land
On the land I say
good-bye
To my family sailing by
I will stand there
waiting for return
Then I saw the bomb fly
by
It hit the ship that
just sailed by
Here I lay on the sand
My family’s gone and so
am I.

In The Battle Field We Fall
In the battlefield we fought
But our leadernever thought
The Germans were so strong
This is a very sad song

Because of Them
In the war, relatives died,
And
were offered for our lives,
Because
of them, for you and me,
We are
alive because of thee
Soldiers
fought for our life,
And we
have realized we are decoys
For our work and strife.

Remember Us
The day we had to leave there was a million .We
Didn’t want to go but wanted to make our country
Proud .We gave our lives to are country.
Remember us
We fought for you. That why our country’s proud.

Lost
In the sea,
Their bodies lay,
All those who
Went away,
So we would
Not worry
Everyday,
And then
Never come
Home again,
Some were found,
Others were not,
Bound to us,
They are now gone,
Forever lost,
Never to be found
Remember them!
`
War
Soldiers
dying, people crying, families torn apart,
No
one happy, everyone snappy, people with broken hearts,
The
war is over! Hooray! Rejoicing! Everyone smiling, happy at last,
But
wait, what of the soldiers who died, people who cried, the ones who feared, who
shed a tear,
The soldiers? They’re buried with a cross over their head,
The people? Still crying, their hearts are dying, and sometimes they
wish they were dead,
So,
on Remembrance Day, remember the soldiers, the families, the people, remember
the things they did for our life, our future.
Remember them.
