General Description: Trained volunteer mediators meet with

young offenders and the victim of the offense in an

attempt to resolve the

problems caused by the

offense. When the

agreement is completed, the charge is withdrawn and there is no record of

conviction Community

Service Program - if a youth is found guilty, the youth court establishes the

number of hours of community service to be performed. The youth is then matched with a volunteer who supervises the work.
