CLIFFORD CAPERS

~ Photo Journal 01/02 ~

Dear Friends,
This following pages are a record of the activities my Primary class participated in during the "Clifford Capers" unit I conducted during the Spring of 2002. As the saying  goes..."A picture is worth a thousand words."  Please be patient for these pages to load, as they are  graphic intensive.

At the outset of  the Clifford Capers unit, we had a Clifford Day and  made these cute Clifford headbands.

Many of the children wore red clothing.  They brought Clifford plush toys, games and Clifford books to share with their  classmates.

We learned Clifford  songs and poems to practice our reading skills.  We read them in class from  charts on the blackboard, and at home from sheets in our poetry duo tangs.

We read Clifford stories independently during silent reading time.  Some students read Clifford stories to the class.

We wrote patterned stories on the ear of a Clifford template that we cut and colored.

We enjoyed  writing original Clifford stories in our writing journals.

A few students even wrote their own Clifford songs!

In math we made Clifford patterns on a large paper bone

For an art project we cut and folded construction  paper to make Cliffords.

They were saved to give to the classroom Dad's on Father's Day.

We created big pets in the computer lab.

We enjoyed all our Clifford Capers.  We love Clifford The Big Red Dog!
