This
is one of the houses that suffered from the terrible destruction of Halifax.
As you see, the windows were blown into the house and anybody behind a
window at the time would have glass shot at them. Years later people would
have glass removed from themselves.
You
might think that it was a normal day and there wouldn't be that many ships
going about, but it was that crowded the day of the Halifax explosion! It
was busy in the waters because at the time the world war was on.
Some
places where the explosion struck actually leveled the buildings and
houses off the property.
