I have studied piano for 21 years and have recently gone back to school to study a different approach to music education. I completed my Bachelor of Music Education in 1999 and this is my  year of teaching school. I studied the 2 levels of the ORFF method of music education and am looking forward to completing level 3 in the near future. It involve instruments, speech, movement and drama. It is also linked to literacy very closely as well as other subjects. I attended the National Orff Conference in Toronto in April of 2006 and was blown away with the possibilities this approach to Music Education can offer.

I have taken 2 courses in African Percussion which is a new skill to me and one that I enjoy. Drumming is a great way to relieve frustration!
