Some steps that you might like to follow to ensure you write an excellent report are:

1.

CHOOSE at least three different countries from which your guests will come.
2.  RESEARCH. Gather as much information as you can on how these guests would celebrate Christmas if they were at home in their own country. If they belong to a religion that does not recognize Christmas, then find out what they do celebrate,  why, and how. There'll be something you can include.  You can start with the Resources page.  You may want to print some Notes pages for recording your information.  (Notes as a word document.)
3. Record the important things about your own traditional Christmas that you do not want to change.
Drawing a CONCEPT MAP is a good way to do this - or NOTES UNDER MAIN HEADINGS so you can add information.
Then ADD IN the things from the other cultures that you want to include.
So now you have a very clear idea of what you want to include in your MULTICULTURAL Christmas celebrations.
4.  Now it's time to think about the REPORT.  You can type it on the computer, hand write it or create a multimedia project using Hyperstudio or PowerPoint.  Remember, you will be presenting your project orally, to your class.
Be sure to save it often as you type.
An excellent report would have sections.
Each section would have a heading (usually in capitals). These sections  could be:

PROJECT INTRO
  Task Example:
In here you tell your audience who you are and why you are doing this. I am Lee Bloggs, a class member of 4Z. In this report I will share with you my plans for sharing Christmas with visitors from  ...........
METHOD
Under this heading you tell your audience exactly how you found out your information. When I heard that friends from three different countries would be sharing Christmas with us I knew that I wanted them to feel included. I read books in the library, viewed the encyclopedia on CD, read brochures from the travel agents, and searched the internet for information on the home country of each of my visitors. Then I chose the parts I wanted to include out of my own and all of the other cultures. I made a plan based on this information.
FINDINGS
Here, you just state what information you found out about each of the
countries you researched. Make each country's name a sub-heading (Underline it).
Australia
Many family members travel to be with loved ones for Christmas in Australia which is in summer. Because many people in Australia came from other countries, especially England,  the traditional English Christmas dinner is very common. Gradually though, because of the heat, many people are having a more casual meal such as cold meats and salads or b-b-ques, outdoors. Many people even go out for lunch on Christmas Day to take advantage of air conditioned, or at least cooler, hotels and restaurants, picnic areas and the beaches. Santa Claus comes with presents on Christmas Eve while children are sleeping. ...etc.
MY PLAN
Tell your reader/listener what activities of your normal Christmas celebrations you will keep.
Then state that you will tie in activities from other cultures.
Then ... Have a heading for each activity and list down in note/point form the main points for that activity ...
CHRISTMAS EVE
    Gather to sing carols (America)
    Give and open presents (Germany)??
Go to church (midnight mass) (Italy)
Hang out stockings for Santa to deliver
    presents for children. (England)
CONCLUSION
Just a little ending.... I now need to work at being sure each of the activities is organised. I know my Christmas will be full of warmth, sharing and love. I hope yours is too.
