6. REGIONAL DIRECTORíS REPORT

Trevor Doyle gave a verbal report.

Every NSSAF coach will have to have the Keeping the School in Sport Course by the 2012 season.  It will be delivered by the ADís and coach names will be stored in a provincial database. If a coach does not have it done by September 30th they will not be able to coach in a Regional or Provincial tournament.

Over 1000 coaches are registered in the past month in KSISS. Volleyball Regionals need to be done by November 17th.  Soccer qualifier game changes need to be sent in to NSSAF if a neutral site is used. J.V. volleyball is considered a second team so grade 12ís cannot play in the Regionals. Proposals will come out about possible realignment of some sports. Major sponsors are being lost to NSSAF and it is not cost effective to have so many divisions.

7.  NEW BUSINESS

Mark Andrecyk said baseball will be booked in August so we should know if your school is having a team before the end of this school year.

Some schools still have not sent in fees you need to send them in ASAP to Armbrae.

8. COORDINATORíS REPORTS

A. Soccer: Roy Snook/Scott Pellerine

Roy mentioned the issue of teams forfeiting games and the possibility of some schools being left out of the league next year. Also a discussion of possibly tearing the league for next season, possibly top 7 and bottom 5, it may come down to ADís being involved to honestly assess their team for the following season.

    B Soccer: Sue Beasley

Sue is looking at putting all games on turf next year.

B.  Cross Country: Steve Harris
