The meeting opened at 1:05 p.m.

2.    INTRODUCTIONS:

Introductions were made for the new participants and the meeting was chaired by Susan Beazley.

3.    APPROVAL OF MINUTES for April 2012.

Moved:             Trevor Doyle

Seconded:   Roy Snook

4.  FINANCIAL REPORT

The Chair, Susan Beazley reported the following financial
information:
$ 18200.00

5. BUISNESS ARRIVING FROM THE MINUTES

·       Boys Hockey – Frank Hubley spoke about the motion for game sheets to be passed into the league in a timely fashion. It is the coach’s responsibility to get them in within 4 business days to the league. If the coach does not do this it is a one game suspension, next offence is a two game suspension and so on. This rule will apply to tournaments away as well.

·       Motion was sent back to all schools (principals) for a vote.

6. REGIONAL DIRECTOR’S REPORT:

Trevor Doyle gave a verbal report.

·       Every NSSAF coach will have to have the Keeping the School in Sport Course by the 2012 season.  It will be delivered by the AD’s and coach names will be stored in a provincial database. If a coach does not have it done by September 30th they will not be able to coach in a regional or provincial tournament.

 ·       Capital will be hosting Provincials in: Snow Boarding, Table Tennis, Slow Pitch Div. 1 boys and girls, Soccer (Div. 1 Girls, Div. 2 Girls, and Div. 4 Boys), Volleyball Div. 4 girls, and Basketball Div. 3/4/J.V.

 ·       Banners will be purchased from Nova Trophy for $31.80 ea. There is a six week delivery time, and it was recommended that we only order one season at a time.

7. NEW BUSINESS

Sue Beazley asked that the Lacrosse league next year makes sure that their fees cover all costs. They did not this season.

8. COORDINATOR’S REPORTS

 A. Track and Field: Dave Hubley/Steve Harris

All went well. Dave recommends that we do not add the extra athlete to the field events, but it was fine for the track events. It worked well at this meet to run the special athletes on the second day. Meet Manager was used at Provincials; we should use that program at the regional meet. All went well at city meet; they will look into running the special athletes on the second day.

B.  Slow Pitch Millwodd Adam White

Adam White gave a verbal report; all went well.

Coordinators for next season were discussed and assigned.

9. ADJOURNMENT
