1.  OPENING

The meeting opened at 1:33 p.m.

 

2.     INTRODUCTIONS:

Introductions were made for the new participants and the meeting was chaired by Donna Duggan.  Thank you to Trevor Doyle for hosting the meeting.

 

3.     APPROVAL OF MINUTES for April, 2011.

4.  FINANCIAL REPORT

The Chair, Donna Duggan submitted the year-end financial report.

 

5. REGIONAL DIRECTOR’S REPORT:

    Trevor Doyle gave a verbal report:

i) Thanks to all schools for their coordination of the 2010-11 season and all school that hosted Provincial Championships.

ii) The discussion took place about holding a main Coach Education evening for all coaches in Metro.  A finalized time and location will be decided early September.

iii) Proposals for NSSAF Fall workshop are due mid September.

iv) NSSAF registration is due June 30, Principals were sent login information.

v) Coordinators must inform school principals and AD’s on suspensions of coaches.

 

6. COORDINATOR’S REPORTS

 

A. Boys Rugby- CHH- Craig Campbell

      Craig Campbell gave a verbal report and information was sent out via e-mail

 

B. Girls Rugby- Aub: Colin Bush/ Kevin Wheatley

     Colin Bush gave a verbal report and information was sent out via e-mail

 

C. Track and Field City County CPA Dave Hubley

Dave Hubley gave a verbal report all information is in the end of year financial report.  Dave is looking to begin an officiating course next season to inform volunteers on how to properly officiate the events.  There needs to be someone trained next season to do track and field stats and on how to organize the meets.

 

D.  Track and Field City Halifax West Donna Duggan:

  Donna Duggan gave a verbal report all information is in the end of year financial report.

 

E.  Slow Pitch Millwodd Adam White

     All information was e-mailed out.

 

 

F. Fast Pitch girls Cole Harbour-Craig Campbell/Greg Veinotte

    Craig Campbell gave a verbal report.  An e-mailed report was sent out.

 

G. Boys & Girls Soccer: Roy Snook- Halifax West

    There will be an organization meeting for both Boys and Girls A Soccer teams on Wednesday September 7th at Halifax West at 7pm.

 

 

 

 

New Business: 

 

1.     Coordinator assignments were assigned and will be e-mailed out to schools

2.     HERH Boys Hockey addition to the metro league was voted on and defeated.  HERH will not be in the Boys Metro Hockey League in the up coming season.
