8. NEW BUSINESS

a. Play-off format for Capital Regional Volleyball Championships

There was discussion about format for the Capital Region Girls Volleyball Championships.  Presently they play a tournament format usually on the Regional week-end and coaches would like to see this format changed to what the boy’s league currently does. A quarterfinal, semi-finals and a final game held in our schools of play-off week.

b.     Soccer: Roy Snook

3 Amendments were made for Soccer 2009-2010

1. The league would like cards to be consistent with Soccer NS. The concern is for stiffer penalties for repeat offenders.  First 3 yellow cards, sit out one game; 4th yellow card, sit out two games; 5th yellow, sit out three games and meet with a discipline committee.

2. Red Cards: Have referee write up and send to coordinator. A severe red card should also be sent to Soccer Nova Scotia for disciplinary action.

3. Game Sheets: should be passed in within 48 hours. Failure to do so will result in a 0-0 tie for points and standings.

c.      Submissions for Fall Workshop

If you have any submissions for the Fall Workshop please send them to Trevor Doyle.

d.     New AD Workshop

There may be a workshop in the fall for New Athletic Directors and present Athletic Directors who want to attend.  More information will be available in the fall.
