a.      2007 Fee Schedule

b.     Procedures for Field Closures

c.     HRM All Weather Facility Code of Conduct

Football: A number of issues were raised regarding the High School Football league.

i. Fees: HRM has not been paid the fees for the 2007 Football League. The amount was approximately $10,000.00. The coordinator of the league has claimed the fees are a Metro issue.

ii. Security in general is an issue ie. drinking, illegal drug use etc.. Who is going to be responsible?

iii. HRM needs to know the schedule in order to have fields ready and open.

iv. Cleanup is an issue. Schools will be charged for their clean-up. A major concern has been the player bench areas. Some teams are not cleaning up after themselves.

* Rugby will not start until the football bills are paid.

Soccer: ½ hour lead time if required.

Rugby: ½ lead hour time if required.

          Burnside has post pads.

March 18th is the date field will open.

     c. Girls Hockey: Frank Hubley

Concerns were raised regarding girls hockey.

i.                    Cancelled Games: every game requires two referees. If one referee arrives, there is still a cost incurred by the teams. How do you deal with this issue? Can the onus be put on the officials? Better ice time is an issue and sometimes it may be a distance concern. Discussion followed.

ii.                  Game Time: Most games are set for 3:30pm-4:00pm. This is a very difficult time to get students to games and often student are missing the same class every week. It also poses a problem to get enough referees at that time.

iii.                Tie Games: Why are there no shoot-outs in play-offs?  This is likely due to the scheduling time frame with no extra time.

d. Soccer All-Star Game: There are a number of schools who have not yet paid their Soccer All-Star money. You will be receiving an e-mail regarding this.
