4.         Cancellations:

When schools are closed the game between those schools involved is cancelled. If schools are closed due to bus cancellations, all scheduled games will continue unless the Principal notifies the coordinator by noon of that day requesting to cancel their game.  The Athletic Director from the cancelling school will then notify the opposing school. The coordinator will contact the assignor (Nick Morash) to cancel the game. Please note that only Principals can cancel games.  Notification to the coordinator on behalf of the Principal can be given by the athletic director, never the coach.   Only Principals can cancel games for reasons other than above. Immediate notification to the coordinator is necessary.  The schools involved must reschedule immediately and notify the coordinator who will then book the officials.

4.         Procedure for Rescheduling Games: Emergencies only!

a.)    The coaches of the teams involved must immediately reschedule the date, time and place.

b.)    All games should be rescheduled as close as possible to the original date.

c.)    All games must be played by Friday, Feb. 5th.

d.)    The host school must contact the coordinator.

e.)    The coordinator will then contact the assignor.

5.         Defaulted Games:

Any team that defaults without timely notification or an acceptable reason for cancellation will incur all expenses relating to the game in question including referees and team travel expenses.  The coordinator will declare the default after careful investigation. The coordinator will then send a letter to the school Principal explaining the rationale and expressing their concern on behalf of the Metro Athletic Association.  Further action by the coordinator will take place for a second default.

6.         Game Results:

It is the responsibility of the WINNING TEAM to email the results to the Media, and to the Statistician (Keri Butler). All results must be received within 24 hours of the competition.  All that is required to the Statistician is the team names and the scores. No scoring records per player will be kept, only team records. The media will accept more, names etc. Please give the press as much detail as they will take.  League standings and updates to the media will be the responsibility of the statistician.
