Homework  

Homework will be posted on my website daily. Please check under each subject for any projects or activities that have been assigned. The outline for all assigned projects will be found on the main page under the projects heading.

1.  Reading/Book Log:               

Students are expected to keep track of the amount of reading they do at home in their student agendas nightly. Remember that students should be reading a minimum of 20-30 minutes, four times a week (this includes weekends). Parents are to initial the agenda after each night of reading. I do  check the homework agendas every morning and students are required to keep it up to date. 

2. Problem of the Week:          

Starting on September 19th, the students will receive a new Problem of the Week every Friday which will be due on the following Thursday. The students will follow a step by step procedure in order to solve the problem. They will be marked not only on the answer but also on the process they used in order to solve the problem.

Complete the question using the following steps:

1. Read over the problem carefully.

2. Rewrite the question in your own words. 

3. List everything you know about the problem. 

4. Show all calculations. 

5.  Explain in words how you know your answer is correct. 

6. Clearly State your answer at the bottom of the page.

3. Incomplete Daily Work:        

Students are required to finish incomplete class work at home.

4. Projects and Tests:             

At times the students will have projects and tests to work on and study for at home. Please be sure to check agendas,  website,  and the class calendar to ensure that you are prepared. 

***Please remember that there is always a chance of additional homework being assigned. This may include project work, writing activities, or studying for a test.***
