Introduction | Task | Process | Evaluation | Conclusion
The story of Charlotte's Web is about a beloved spider who saves the life of a farmyard pig named Wilbur. Charlotte is an extraordinary character in the story. Let's look into the life of the spider and discover just how amazing this creature can be.
It is your mission to research various types of spiders and tell about the appearance, diet, habitat and behavior of each.

The Procedure
1. Visit these two websites to find and report facts about spiders:
http://www.edu.pe.ca/stteresa/Grade3_4/charlote/research.htm
http://polk.ga.net/Westside/Spider/Westside_Spidermania.html
2. Create a spider web, using black paper and white yarn. Choose a message, similar to the ones that Charlotte wove in her web, and mysteriously weave it into your web.
3. Find information and pictures of spiders and create a class mural.
4. Using the computer, create a word search about spiders.

On the completion of your activities, consideration will be given to content, neatness, creativity, participation, and cooperation with classmates.

I hope that you have enjoyed and also learned a great deal about spiders, as a result of this webquest. Keep searching! There is even more to experience. Now! How can you use the information that you have gathered in your webquest to educate others about the importance of this wonderful creature? Can you find even more websites that will help you? Why not use books in your local library as a resource? Write a response in your journal to tell me how you enjoyed this project. I'll be waiting to hear from you.
