Our Grassroots Project
For
this project, the students from Grade One will be showcased as well as the grade
six Technology Team. The students will identify, and classify sounds around
them on an outdoor walk using such concepts as high/low/loud/soft/fast/slow and
steady beat. The children will draw abstract pictures of some of the sounds they
heard as well as there will be charts made of what was heard. They will be
categorized, high, low, etc. A soundscape of the various sounds they heard will
be created on the computer with the assistance of grade 6 students. Digital
photos as well as sound will be taped outdoors as well.
