Please Note: The Production Lab's last day for all students is Friday June 15th. Beginning on Monday June 18th our Production Lab will be turned over to contractors to remove the old Dust Collection System and prepare for the new system's installation. During this time no students will be permitted in the Production Lab.

* Notice that we are starting slow on week one so they have some time to organize as well*
I would suggest students should review for Science 15 minutes per session x 5 sessions
per week as an average study program. Some students may need more time for review.
- Grade 9 Tech Ed - Bridge Building Unit Bridge breaking for grade 9's was completed last week. This week students will be working through 2 processes for the next 2 weeks.
- 1) Complete the final portfolio of your bridges individually. Please note the final portfolio is not a group project!!
- 2) Introduction to the Router and permaplaque your photography assignment. For those students that did not turn in a photograph, a generic picture was printed for you to use.
- Grade 8 Tech Ed - Bridge Building Unit 8-3, 8-4 and 8-5 should be finishing truss 2 this week and starting the roadbed. These 3 classes will be breaking their bridges the week of June 4th. 8-1 and 8-2 will be starting truss 2 this week and should be ready to break their bridge the week of June 11th.

- Grade 7 Tech Ed - Grade 7's are working on their cars this week. Grade 7's may now come to the wood lab with Grade 8's and 9's to work on their cars if they are falling behind. Speed Week for Racing is the week of June 4th. All cars must be completed by then.
*Note - This is a short summary only. Check specific pages (links on orange bar (above)) for full details*
The Lab will be open at 7:35 am each morning this year for extra work time. Please note the time change due to the change in the time the school opens. Lunch sessions will be offered as well.
Parents Please Note: Homework is very limited, therefore, extra lab time is going to be required of all students.
All Project Work, unless otherwise stated, is expected to be completed at School. Students can complete all work in class if they work efficiently.
Supplies and Technology Needs:
1) Students should have a small (1") Binder (recommended choice) or a Duotang for this course. Students must bring their binder, something to write with and their school issued agenda to each class.
2) Headphones are a requirement for this course for Grade 8 and Grade 9 students only. Dollar Store headphones are perfect. Headphones are not to come to this class attached to any electronic devices such as MP3 Players etc.
3) A USB Flash drive is not a requirement for Tech Ed, but it may come in handy for some work later in the term. If parents are considering buying a USB Drive, I recommend one in the 2 Gig size, do not pay more than $20.00 for a drive as they frequently go on sale for less at various big box stores. A smaller size is acceptable. Please make sure students name the Flash Drive their name and class.
4) A Duotang that can be kept in class to be used as a Project Portfolio.
