Programs and Services Available at Oxford
Resource and Learning Center Teachers: Our Resource and Learning Center teachers provide support for students who are experiencing academic difficulties.
Student Support Teacher: Our student support teacher provides support to students whose difficulties outside school are impeding their academic success.
English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher: Our ESL teacher works with students who are learning English as a new language.
YMCA School Settlement Worker: Our YMCA worker assists families who are new to this country.
Literacy Coordinator: Our literacy coordinator works with teachers to develop strategies for improving studentsí reading and writing skills.
Math Coach: Our math coach works with teachers to develop strategies for improving studentsí math skills.
Public Health Nurse: Our public health nurse is available to students by appointment through the guidance office or the main office. The nurse may assist and inform students regarding personal health concerns.
School Psychologist: Our school psychologist administers tests and assists in placement decisions for students who are experiencing academic difficulties. She visits the school regularly consult with students, teachers and parents.
Speech/Language Pathologist: Our speech/language pathologist assists students who are struggling with speech or written language.
School Social Worker: Our social worker visits the school regularly to meet with students and families who are facing challenges at home.
