Who is your teacher??

I have a Bachelor of Science with Advanced Major in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University.

In my 4th year, I participated in an art exchange to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where I studied ceramics, painting, art history and drama for a semester.  I returned to X and graduated in May 2001.

After graduation, I worked for 6 months at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans conducting Snow Crab Research.  Then went to work for Walt Disney World.  It was at the Canadian Pavillion "KidCot" table that I made the decision to become a teacher.

I moved to Calgary after Disney and began a joint degree: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and Bachelor of Education.  I took classes at both the University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art and Design.

After a year, I returned to my home province of Nova Scotia and completed my Bachelor of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University.

In September 2006, I moved to Colchester, England where I taught secondary Science at Sir Charles Lucas Art College.  I returned to Nova Scotia to begin a term position at Prince Andrew High School in 2007.

I taught Art and Science at Prince Andrew from February 2007 until June 2008.

In September 2008, I began a term position at Sackville High teaching Physics 11, Physics 12 and Astronomy 12.

I returned to Prince Andrew High for the 2009/10 school year.  And secured a permanent position at PAHS beginning 2010/11.
