Homework

Primary Homework:

• Please be sure to check your child’s message folder each night, empty it and send back to school each day.

Reading at home is critically important to a child's success in school.

• At Home Reading - Your child is assigned to a day of the week.  They will bring home and return "Just Right" books to school on that day.  I encourage your child to read these books multiple times to as many different people as possible (parents, grandparents, siblings, neighbours, 'stuffies', etc!). 

• There is also an "optional" component to this homework.  A blue duotang will accompany the books each week.  Your child can draw a picture and write a sentence to respond to a book he/she has read.  THIS PART IS NOT MANDATORY.
