Information and Communication Technology Outcomes CT 12.3 (RELATES TO 9.1) design and create electronic documents to accomplish curricular tasks

Curriculum Outcomes: Students will be expected to ü Identify, describe, and map selected features of the traditional territory called Mi’kma’ki. ü Recognize that the Mi’kmaw were the original occupants of the Mi’kma’ki ü Compare and Contrast Mi’kmaw and European views of the land at the time of first contact and analyse hoe these views impacted on political decision making. ü Identify and map the various Mi’kmaq Reserves throughout Nova Scotia, determine the total land area occupied by Reserve Lands, and compare this area to the total land area of the Maritimes. ü Identify the current services provided by local Band governments in MI’kmaq communities in Nova Scotia.

Working on Assignments. Students will require approximately 3 computer classes and (If you are getting them to design their maps by hand) More if you are getting them to complete all components electronically. 4-5 80minute classes
