1. Practice research skills, such as not taking and information organization.(BOC 12.1, SEHI 12.7, PTS 12.2, PTS 12.4, CT 12.2, RPSD 12.2, RPSD 12.4, RPSD 12.5)

2. Use technology and recent software programs to accomplish tasks. ( BOC 12.1, SEHI 12.7, PTS 12.4, CT 12.2, RPSD 12.5)

1.Chapter related class activities – 5 periods

2.Research people, , events, organizations and countries in computer lab – 2 periods

3.Following the life of a citizen of a country through the Real Lives program –note taking and photo collection – 2 periods

4. Create a diary presentation combining print and images, using PowerPoint, photostory3 or cartoon maker that responds to the following questions: A. What would daily life be like? B. What are the citizen’s concerns, hopes, and dreams? C. What is the citizen’s vision of nationhood? D. What actions are necessary for the citizen to realize his/her dream?

10 points for each assignment
20 points for the web search and visual diary
