    Course Outline

Visual Arts 11 incorporates and extends concepts, materials and techniques introduced in Art 10. Students will have the opportunity to revisit processes in greater depth through more specialized independent study and exploration.  Visual Art 11 fosters creative thinking and problem-solving as students are encouraged to experiment with mediums for expressive purposes. As visual skills develop, students become capable of responding to and creating visual images that express ideas and emotions surrounding a range of personal and social issues. All of these opportunities contribute to the aesthetic, emotional, social and intellectual growth of students.
