Journal Portfolio Assignment - Journals will be handed in every two weeks on the work covered in the during that time.
Journal 1
1. Reflect (in ½ to 1 full page) on your experience with the True Colors workshop. What did you learn about yourself? What is your brightened color and what is your color spectrum? Does your brightened color represent how you act much of the time? What did you learn about other people? How do you think True Colors might help you when you have to work in a group?
1. Each student must hand in their script and the Character Concept Sheet from the Marvelous Monologue #1 Assignment
1. Response Journal for the weeks of September 13-23. You may choose to reflect on one, some or all of the following activities: Development of Monologue Text, Warm ups and Character Games, Changing in a Scene, 1-10 emotion range, Character Status, Practice performance of Monologue for Classmates, Monologue Performance
1. Hand in your script from the Creating Context Assignment. Your script should contain extensive blocking notes for your 3-4 minute scene.
1. Response Journal for the weeks of September 27 October 8. You may choose to reflect on one, some or all of the following activities: Putting Down the Dog, Tableaux, Beats and Stakes, "Only You" Scene work, Personal Space (including the mountain activity).
1. Response Journal for the weeks of October 12 - 29. You may choose to reflect on one, some or all of the following activities: Choral Soundscape, Playreading Activity, Playwriting Tips, Elementary Workshop Preparation and Dry Run.
Reflect on your experience with the Elementary Workshop Presentations at Robert Kemp Turner Elementary School. Answer each question fully in complete sentences.
1. Considering the work we did at the start of the semester with True Colors, how did your brightened color help or hinder you in the process of developing and delivering this workshop? Did you find you had to draw on your other colors in certain circumstances? Explain.
2. What did you learn about your ability to work collaboratively?
3. Which parts of the process did you find the most rewarding? Why?
4. Which parts of the process did you find the most challenging? Why?
5. Comment on the differences you noticed in working with the different age groups and energy levels throughout the morning.
Complete the Ten Minute Play Proposal Form

You may choose to reflect on one, some or all of the following activities: Staredown, Co-Listening, Cross the Line, How long is a Minute, Remembrance Day Perfromance viewing, initial Collective Preparation (brainstorming and developing scenes) developing our scenes for the collective, as well as the editing and organization process to turn the scenes into a complete performance).

You may choose to reflect on one, some or all of the following activities: Collective Development and Preparation (developing our scenes for the collective, as well as the editing and organization process to turn the scenes into a complete performance, blocking, etc).
Junior High Collective Final Reflection

1. Reflect on your experience of performing the collective in front of a live audience at the junior high schools.
2. Reflect on your comfort level in working on a performance piece that was largely unscripted.
