“Oh, Why, Sorry” Activity – This was an in-class assignment prepared on December 1 and performed on December 2 and 3. In small groups create a short scene using “oh, why, sorry” as the only dialogue and perform these in front of the class. Click here for the evaluation rubric.

Short Scripted Scenes – This was an in-class assignment prepared from December 4 - 8 and performed on December 9.  Click here to view the evaluation rubric for each scene.

In small groups, develop two short scenes that incorporate the Five Elements. As this project will take three days to complete, the expectation is that it will be performed as a well-practiced, directed scene with all lines and blocking memorized. Please refer to the Stage Basics handout for more information. Each group must also hand in a Short Scenes Worksheet for both of their prepared scenes

Students must hand in their script with blocking notes for the scenes they perform / direct and a written reflection of the production process. (Journal 10)
