Homework/Assignment
NOTE: Assignments not completed during class time may be sent home to be finished. Students are given a sufficient amount of time in class to complete their work. For the reasons of inefficient use of time or unpredictable interruptions, work will usually be sent home. This work will most likely include study work, La or math sheets.
ABSENCES: In the event that a student misses school, he or she is responsible for all work missed. Only exceptional circumstances would limit or alter the amount of work required to do during missed time. Students should provide a note from home explaining absences. Students are responsible to pick up any missed work .They may see me on their own time to ask for any clarification of work to be done. Again this is the student's responsibility.
Read 20 - 30 minutes each day
Parents sign homework agenda each night.
Students are required to read a minimum of 20 minutes every night but are encouraged to read up to 30 minutes if possible. We would like parents to initial their child's agenda. Go to the page which shows the entire month of September and record the number of minutes read and your initials for that day. Students agendas will be checked on Friday of each week to see if they have earned a stamp for that week.
