Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 1:30pm

Books - 3 weeks

Library Tutorial

Students

A maximum of five books may be borrowed at one time for a period of three weeks.

 

School staff

Resources may be borrowed for a one-month period. 

 

Overdue material

All overdue items must be returned before signing-out any new items.

 

Renewals

Materials may be renewed if the patron account is in good standing.  The item will be renewed for three weeks.

 

Fines/Replacement costs

There are no daily fines for overdue library materials.  Students are responsible to ensure that library materials are returned in good condition and are not lost.  If an item is lost or damaged to the point it can no longer be placed in circulation, the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost.  The replacement cost is the listed price on the book or the list price found at a local book store.

Guidelines:

 

■ Food and/or drinks should be consumed in the cafeteria or outside.  Please leave food outside the library.

■ Computers are to be used for school assignments, projects and research. 

■ Students are required to sign-in to use computers before classes and at  lunch.

■ Printing services are available to students completing school assignments/projects.  Please check with Mrs. Smith before printing.

■ Photocopies are available for school projects and assignments.  The cost is $0.10 a page.

■ Students must have written permission from the classroom teacher to be in the library during class time.

■ Students are required to have a note from their classroom teacher to sign out Audiovisual (AV) equipment for project use.  The AV equipment may not be removed from school property.

Mrs. Smith is available to assist students with research, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 1:30 pm.  If students or staff require help after hours please use the "Ask a question" feature.

Library Web Site

 

The purpose of the Five Bridges Junior High School Library web site is to assist students with their information needs.  All links from the library site have been reviewed by the Library Support Specialist.  Any other external links from these sites are not reviewed by the library and users access at their own risk.

To use the online "Ask a question" form, students must include their name and school email address.  This information will be used by only the Library Support Specialist to provide students with information.
