James Blunt: Biography

The band

James blunt was born as James Hillier Blount February 22 1974, in Tidworth, Wiltshire, England. (The year of his birth can be debated.) Born into a British Army family, that thought of music as "unnecessary noise." James had high expectations to succeed in the army like his father & grandfather. James received an army sponsored place at Bristol University, where he became captain & served as officer in NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo.   

In September 2003 James came to Los Angeles to record with Tom Rothrock and produce his debut album "Back to Bedlam." Back to Bedlam takes is a album filled of James "unattainable romances, lost loves, friendís failures & even a first-handed experience of war."2005 is thought of being the year of James Blunt.

Interesting Fact: Goodbye My Lover was both written & recorded in his landladies bathroom.
