Exercise # 5 - Flyer

You will be creating an advertisement (FLYER) for your company. Follow the criteria below. Have fun and be creative!!

1. Go to "Start", then "Programs" , then "Microsoft Office" and Launch "Microsoft Office Publisher 2003".
2. Select “Publications for Print”
3. Select  “Flyers" (Select any except the "announcement" option.)
4. Select a design from the examples shown.
5. Double Click on the sample you like.

Your company ________________(insert name) is having a huge weekend sale.   Make a one page-advertising flyer that could be inserted in a newspaper.

Content:

          -4 items for sale

          -Information about item (brand name, cost, model etc)

          -Name of store

          -Catch phrase

          -Sale info (when the sale ends… location of the store… any special rules             

           for the sale.

Page Design: 

          -Readability

          -Balance and symmetry

          -Appropriateness

Publisher Skills expected:

          -Text colors

          -Textboxes with borders

          -Standard shape

          -Custom shapes

          -Gradient fill

          -Use of background

          -Use of a design gallery object
