ECOLE ROCKINGHAM SCHOOL
STUDENT WORK FOR FAMILY
TRIP
Student:
____________ Class: ______
Dates of trip:
_______________
While your
child is away on vacation, it would be helpful for him/her to keep up with some
schoolwork. It is not possible to send
the work he/she will be. However, the following activities as well as the
memorable trip experiences will suffice:
Have your
child keep a log of the trip: what you see and do. This will keep those writing skills honed. Pictures, brochures representing the area,
ticket stubs, etc. are all good additions.
This will be a great keepsake after the trip is over.
With the
help of the teacher, your child should select at least one book to read. You are welcome to read along in the same or
another book if you wish! This can be a
quiet time for you and your child after the excitement of the day.
With the help of the daily journal, your child should be prepared to share some of his/her trip experiences with the rest of the class. The more he has included in the journal, the easier and the more visual the presentation will be. If there are any souvenirs that don’t fit into the journal, they can be brought in to school for the presentation as well. We’ll look forward to his/her return!
