Should I sign my child's agenda, even when there is no homework?
Yes, please sign your child's agenda (PPS) each night. There is always reading for 20 minutes even though it may not be written down. Please check your child's binder and agenda pockets for notices.

What homework routines can we expect on a regular basis?
Reading: (RAH) Students are expected to read for at least 20 minutes daily at home, from Monday - Thursday. The Home Reading Log is to be completed by students and then signed by a parent each night. The Log is to be kept in a plastic sleeve in the Agenda. It will be checked by the teacher each day. Students are expected to read for a minimum of 20 minutes over the weekend (not each day of the weekend). Of course, the more reading, the better. :-) The Log does not have to be completed or signed on weekends.
Daily Math - The Math homework sheets are to be completed by Thursday. One section on each sheet is to be completed each night. We will go over the answers the next day in class. |
