| Reading Log | Daily reading for 20 minutes. Students are expected to write a response to their book. Sentence starters can be found a t the beginning of the scribbler. The idea is to write a personal response NOT a re-telling of the book. The reading log is due at the end of the week with a total amount of two pages double spaced for the response. Students may write a paragraph a night or write a response for the whole week. |
| Weekly Writing | Student are expected to complete a writing sample in their weekly writing scribbler. Ideas for writing can be found in the beginning of the scribbler on the "write from the heart" brain storm. Students may chose their own topic for their written work, keeping in mind that they need to include supporting details, organization and proper conventions. |
