
The Youth Health Centre @ Halifax West (YHC),
is an information resource created through
a partnership of the Halifax Regional
School Board (HRSB), and Capital Health.
Located in Halifax West High School,
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Earth; the
main purpose of the YHC is to be a primary resource of health
information for the teens/youths that attend Halifax West High
School (HWHS) and its feeder schools. One of the goals of the YHC is
to promote a healthy school, and community environment. The
centre provides information on a various number of topics related to
youth health, from sexually transmitted infections (STIs), to
nutrition. The YHC also runs a various number of programs from the
Tobacco Action Team, to the Brunch Program.
