Dear Parents,
One of my objectives for
this school year is to help your child improve on their reading skills. You can

The goal is for your
child to be excited about reading so having them choose the literature of
interest is important as well as your enthusiasm and involvement. You can
encourage your child to read by taking a few minutes each day to discuss their

child comes to 3 words on a page that they do not know, the reading may be too

will select reading material from the school library for their home reading
program. Students should read for at least 20 minutes each day. I recommend alternating languages and fiction/non-fiction readings frequently.
You may read together as well as independently.
