Hi, my name is Margaret. I'm 10 years old and I am in 4th grade. I've made you a catfish out of the Tangrams you sent. I think Vaiden is a nice place to live. I have lived here for a year almost. We are doing this for another teacher. We hope you like our Tangram pictures. I did the project in my English teacher's class. Most of Mississippi's catfish are farmed in the Delta and close by the Gulf. Many people like to eat catfish in Mississippi. Also, on the back is my Grandmother's recipe for cooking fried catfish. |

I am 11 years old. I am in 4th grade. The tangrams you sent us were very fun. My English teacher Ms. Owens helped us put the tangrams together, because Ms. Lane was having trouble with them. |

Our English teacher Mrs. Owens was helping us, and we came up with some awesome tangrams. Down in my town we don't have that many stores. We have a park. We don't have but four restaurants. We also have a nursing home. These are some facts about Vaiden. |

| Shirley
My name is Shirley. I live in a small town called Vaiden, MS. When Ms. Lane brought us the Tangrams, we first thought it would be hard but with the help of our English teacher Mrs. Owens we wouldn't have had such bright ideas with the Tangrams. My town is very small. We don't have many stores or fun places to go but we do have a clinic, restaurants, a library and a park. That's some facts about Vaiden, MS. P.S. If you would like to be my penpal, I would like to be yours. |

Hi, I'm a nine year old girl from Vaiden MS. Doing the Tangrams were challenging but still fun. At first I didn't know what to do. My English teacher Mrs. Owens gave me one idea. Mrs. Lane from the resource room gave me an idea also. Mrs. Lane is the lady who asked us to help her with the Tangrams. I did a t-shirt, kind of like the one I like to wear around the house. I have a blue one similar to it. I like to wear it with my blue jeans You usually could find a shirt like I made at Cato's. Well, I'm running out of words to say. If you would like to be my penpal please write me back and send it to the address above. |

I finished my Tangram. It's an "M". The "M" stands for the state of Mississippi. Without the help of my great English teacher, Mrs. Owens, I wouldn't have finished my tangram. Would you like to be my penpal? Making the "M" was hard. I have to go now. Write back. |

I am writing you from Vaiden, MS. We all had different ideas, like a man fishing in a boat. Without our teacher, Mrs. Owens, we wouldn't have done it. We liked doing it. |
