Homework is an important part of grade five. What is important
is not the actual content of the homework; it is the responsibility involved in
knowing what needs to be done, and doing it to the best of your ability. It is
therefore important that it is done . . . Forgetting, or being sick the day it
was assigned is no excuse. Call a friend, or access this website to find out wh
at you have to do. We encourage parents to check this site to
check what your students should be doing for homework. If you have any
questions about the assignments, do not hesitate to e-mail us or call (902)
462-8500. (Note that Mrs. Steele is not at Astral Drive in the afternoons)
NOTE: Any assignments must contain your Name,
the subject, and the date. If you e-mail your assignment (I
encourage this), it is probably a good idea to also print it out the first
couple of times until you are sure I'm getting your e-mail.

Reading Response on a Magazine Advertisement. Look at the advertisement "critically" as we did in class today. 1. Tell what the advertisement is about literally; just describe it to me. 2. What is the target audience? What is the hidden "Message"? 3. What elements of the advertisement help get the message across. |
