Using Dialogue in your Writing

Using Dialogue is an excellent way to make your writing more interesting, but you must be careful to use it correctly. People talk to each other all the time, so in writing a story it is natural to have people talking. I have found that grade five students enjoy using dialogue in their writing, but do not always use it effectively. I have located a couple of good Internet sites as references to writing good dialogue. Many of these are intended for older students, and some are even University sites, but the rules are the same for Graduate students as they are for grade five.
